Bangladeshi journalist and social leader Awal Chowdhury has been honored with the Global Leaders Awards 2025, a distinction celebrating his long-standing contributions to ethical journalism and community-focused leadership.
The honor was presented at a vibrant four-day gathering held November 8–11, 2025, at Kuala Lumpur’s Berjaya Times Square Hotel. Hosted by Bizox Media Network, the summit drew more than 250 influential delegates—from journalists and diplomats to entrepreneurs and parliamentarians representing countries including the USA, UK, India, UAE, Armenia, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
The event created a dynamic space for global leaders to exchange perspectives on leadership, innovation, and the future of international cooperation. Chowdhury’s recognition added a strong South Asian presence to the global stage.
Awal Chowdhury, Editor-in-Chief of nymorning.com, has worked across television, print, and digital media for over two decades. His investigative reporting, political analysis, economic coverage, and reporting from major international forums such as the IMF, World Bank, and the United Nations have earned him wide recognition. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Reporter at Ekushey Television Limited, one of Bangladesh’s leading broadcasters. Beyond journalism, he is the founder of a social organization established in 2015 that serves underprivileged communities in Bangladesh.
Receiving the award, Awal Chowdhury said:

Throughout his career, Chowdhury has received multiple national journalism honors along with international recognitions such as the Global Youth Leadership Award (Dubai) and the Best Diplomats Award (USA). In addition, he has received four distinguished awards in Bangladeshi journalism. He is also a member of the National Press Club (U.S.), the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and the South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA).
The honor in Malaysia reflects his enduring dedication to principled journalism and leadership rooted in humanity.
